I thought I'd have this announcement for you sooner than now, but here we are!

Here's a peek at what's on the shelf and ready to ship:

And, actually, there will be lots more handspun coming soon because I can't seem to get enough spinning time in lately.

I have... five? in process right now. Two are ready to wind off the bobbin and wash. Two are ready to be plied.

But instead of plying, I decided to start just one more new spin first, lol. It's just so bright and lively! I couldn't resist.

It's also a merino, silk, and cashmere blend, so it's extra luxurious. It would make the BEST most happiest hat. But, of course, I'm on a cowl kick, so that's probably what I would make with it.

It would also be amazing paired with a neutral solid of... well, just about any color!

My favorite neutral is usually cream, but I could see this with white, black, brown, gray, navy, or even like a super rich purple for something that would REALLY wake up your eyeballs! 😆

There are definitely lots of possibilities for this one.

I think I've been craving the simplicity of spinning lately because the only decision I have to make is how to prep the fiber. The purple and orange skeins I just added to the shop were spun from rolags, so there was no decision to make at all there. Celebration, the bright one there, I just split in half lengthwise once and then off I went.

Most of the others have been about the same. Only one intuitive decision and the rest is just color play!

Decision fatigue isn't something I would normally associate with moving, but it's hit me hard this time. And so I've tried to allow myself to just BE with the colors I'm working with.

Hopefully soon I'll feel the itch to design something new. Or to pick out and arrange fibers for a new tapestry. This meadow photo is definitely going to inspire one sooner or later:

Oh, actually, those happy yellow flowers? They're called sneezeweed, unfortunately, but they're blooming all over the place right now and they're such a delight to see as I'm walking and driving around.

They DID inspire me to pull out some old stash handspun yarn to make a happy little green and yellow tapestry. Here's a progress picture:

It's on the blocking boards now and I'm waiting for supplies to arrive before I can mount it. It's going to be my first Georgia inspired tapestry, but the handspun was actually created when we lived in Texas.

I think the sneezeweed meadow will be my first fully Georgia inspired and made fiber artwork, though I definitely need to think of a better name for it!!!

For now, though, I'm headed back to spinning Celebration. Perhaps tomorrow I'll wash Narcissus, which is a rich yellow spun from rolags by Fellview Fibres, the same dyer for the purple and orange skeins. It's also a really happy yarn!

And this feels like just the season for yellow.

P.S. Our Bird Buddy got caught up in the landscaper's mower last week and we lost one of the pieces that lets it talk to the app. We've got a replacement on order. And until we figure out where and how to hang it/set it up so that the landscapers don't take it out again, I've got it sitting on the back porch steps where the cardinals and squirrels are making a mess, of course.
